A 23-year-old Kemptville resident was charged with impaired driving and theft of a motor vehicle. Around 2:50am on Wednesday morning, police were called to a single vehicle rollover on Waverly Drive near North Augusta Road in Brockville. The driver fled the scene. At 3:25am police were called to a residence, where the same man had entered a home and stolen keys. The homeowner stopped him when the suspect tried starting the homeowner’s vehicle. The Kemptville man was arrested and faces seven charges including impaired driving, theft of a motor vehicle and breaking into a house to commit theft. He was held for a bail hearing.
