New emergency housing unit for youth available in North Grenville starting next month

Connect Youth will be making an emergency housing unit for youth available in the North Grenville area starting next month. The unit is made possible through a program with the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. It will be available for up to 21 days for youth aged 16 to 21 that have no current living arrangements and have exhausted all other housing options. Youth Transitional Case Manager Victoria Robertson says the Kemptville Youth Centre is involved in helping out Connect Youth’s new project.

Program Coordinator Elizabeth Langlois says no youth from North Grenville stayed in the Prescott unit last year but she expects to see that change with this new unit.
