OPP officers in Prescott have charged a man driving 157 kilometers per hour on the 401. Police were monitoring traffic early on Sunday morning near the overpass for Merwin Lane. Just after 2:20am officers stopped a vehicle travelling 57 kilometers per hour over the speed limit headed eastbound. The driver was charged with stunt driving, had his driver’s license suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days. The 24-year-old Ottawa man will appear in Brockville Court on August 24th.
