The MP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes says affordability is the number one issue facing people living in our community.
Michael Barrett says he’s been having a lot of tough conversations with people in the riding who say they are having a tough time getting by and are concerned about affording things like a home.
A Conservative Party member, Barrett says they will put forward a motion of non-confidence in the government at their first opportunity.
He says he has a clear message for those concerned about the state of the country.
“I’m here fighting in Ottawa for our community and life wasn’t like this before Justin Trudeau and it’s not going to be like this after him.”
The fall sitting of the House of Commons on Parliament Hill began earlier this week.
