Merrickville Beach remains unsafe for swimming.
During weekly beach testing, the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit determined the water at the beach was unsafe to swim in because of unacceptable levels of bacteria that were detected.
It’s the third time in a row that the health unit has deemed the beach unsafe for swimming.
