The 112th Eastern Ontario Firefighters Association Convention and Games are set to take over Prescott this weekend.
Eleven fire departments are coming together on Friday night and Saturday with the games including firefighter relays, ladder climbs, and hose target practices.
The Leo Boivin Community Centre is the site of the games and fire departments from areas including Augusta and Edwardsburg Cardinal will be taking part.
The Town of Prescott has also chartered Kingston Trolley Tours to provide complimentary hop on/hop off tours of the town this weekend.
Chris Veltkamp is a Captain with the Prescott Fire Department and a member of the planning committee for the games, he says they have spent the last six months to a year planning it all.
“We’re extremely proud to have the support of the Town of Prescott, a lot of the businesses, community organizations, and we’re excited to host these at the department.”
The excitement wraps up on Saturday night with a parade and a dance featuring Healy & Orr’s live entertainment.
