CBSA offers advice for travelers with Easter long weekend on horizon

If you’re going across the border for Easter, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) staff members say you should be prepared before you go.

The agency is urging travelers to take steps like checking wait times at border crossings before their trip, so they won’t be surprised by a long wait when they leave.

They also say you should look up your personal import duty exemption limits, and make sure you don’t bring any cannabis with you when you try to cross the border.

If you’re planning to take a plane, they say you can make your customs and import declarations in advance to save time.

It’s available at Ottawa International Airport and several others across the country.

You can learn more about advance declaration, and find more advice from CBSA, on the federal government’s website.
