Residents can now name people they think deserve recognition from the Town of Prescott.
According to town staff, nominations have opened for the 2024 Community Awards.
The program provides plaques to commemorate the Business, Citizen and Volunteer of the year, as nominated by residents and chosen by a staff committee.
All nominations, including self-nominations, are accepted. Staff say nominees don’t need to live in Prescott, but the work they do within the town needs to be the focus of their nomination.
Last year’s winners were volunteer Nancy Hutt, former councillor Fraser Laschinger, and the owners of O’Reilly’s Independent Grocer.
You can find the nomination form on the Town of Prescott website. Nominations are being accepted until April 19th.
