With less than two weeks to go before the Coldest Night of the Year, Connect Youth has raised more than half of its fundraising goal.
So far, $21,223 has been donated to the initiative. The organization’s goal is to bring in $32,000.
The Coldest Night of the Year is an annual event held across Canada, where participants collect pledges and take to the streets to raise awareness about the struggles of homeless people.
The proceeds are all donated to charities that benefit the homeless. Connect Youth puts the money it receives towards paying for housing for young homeless people.
If you’re interested in donating or signing up to take part, you can find more details on the Coldest Night of the Year website. The event is happening February 24th.
