Thousands of dollars in cash prizes are up for grabs as an annual youth film festival competition returns to our region.
Submissions are now being accepted for the 2024 MyView Youth Film Festival from eastern Ontario residents ages 10 through 24.
Organizers say eligibility has expanded to the west this year, allowing people living in Kingston to take part, thanks to a partnership with the YMCA.
Like previous years, a $1,000 grand prize is available for the best overall submission, decided by a panel of judges.
Cash prizes are also available for the best film in three age categories, a $750 prize for showcasing a community, and more.
