There are only a few days left before the United Counties will hear property owners’ thoughts on its proposed updated agricultural boundaries.
As part of the “Agricultural Area Review” process that started in 2022, the final consultation dates are being held in less than two weeks
The review is happening because the current agricultural land boundaries, established in 2015, weren’t comprehensive.
The study allows staff to see what changes need to be made to protect local farmland from development.
The last consultations in our region are all happening on February 6th, in North Grenville, Augusta and Edwardsburgh-Cardinal.
If you want to attend any of them, you’ll need to register in advance. You can find details for how to sign up, and the draft map of the new boundaries, on the United Counties website.
