Kindergarten registration now open for UCDSB schools

With 2024 underway, parents of young kids are urged to start thinking about their children’s education.

The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) has opened kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year, for kids set to turn four years old before next January.

To register, you’ll need some proof of your child’s age, like a birth certificate or passport, and proof of your address, like a utility bill.

You’ll also need to share your child’s immunization record, and any exemption documents they may have, with the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit.

Depending on where you and your child live, they could be eligible to attend multiple schools.

If you need help deciding where to send them, UCDSB staff members say schools will be hosting information sessions for parents over the coming weeks.

Details will be available on the board’s website.
