Leeds-Grenville Economic Development Officer announces retirement

A major coordinator of the Leeds-Grenville Warden’s Award for more than a decade is retiring.

Deanna Clark, who has worked with the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville as its Economic Development Officer since 2010, announced her retirement Tuesday.

Clark has been a coordinator for the Warden’s Award, also called the Bill Thake Memorial Award for Economic Development Leadership, since it was first handed out in 2011.

She’s also been responsible for several other initiatives supporting the local entrepreneur community, including an online newsletter showcasing local businesses and events.

Economic Development Manager Ann Weir is congratulating Clark, and says she’ll be missed by her friends and colleagues. She’ll stay in the position until January 26th.
