Brockville General Hospital to benefit from community collaboration

Here is an update on some recent community efforts to improve programs and facilities at Brockville General.

East Wing Renos – The #1 East Wing of Brockville General Hospital has not seen improvements in over 50 years. That’s all about to change, thanks to the Town of Gananoque, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 92 and Gananoque resident Jack Keyes. They have donated $35,000 to the East Revitalization Project at BGH. The project will result in the revitalization of 15 inpatient rooms, hallways and family room.

Golf for Maternal Care – On August 8th, the second annual Charity Golf Tournament for Maternal Care was held at the Prescott Golf Course and Scotiabank made a $5,000 matched donation to the cause. An amazing total of $13,600 was raised to support the Maternal Child Unit at Brockville General Hospital.

Wee Care Baskets – The May Court Club has provided newborn necessities to the Brockville General Hospital Volunteer Association for their ‘Wee Care Baskets”.  These care packages are provided to families in need in the BGH Maternal Child unit.  Items include newborn essentials, such as clothes, diapers, wipes, socks, bibs, and wipes. If you would like to get involved, contact the Volunteer Manager.
