There are only a few days left to help Prescott earn bragging rights for a year and support the South Grenville Food Bank.
The town is competing with the Townships of Augusta and Edwardsburgh-Cardinal to see which community can donate the most to the organization during the first two weeks of December.
Executive Director Bonnie Pidgeon Coogler says the winning municipality will receive a trophy at an open house event on the weekend.
“It’s a pretty big honour, and whoever wins gets to keep the cup for an entire year in their township,” Coogler says. “So, it’s very exciting.”
The deadline to donate is Friday, December 15th. Here in Prescott, donations are being collected at Town Hall.
The open house will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Food Bank’s Prescott office, with the winning community set to be announced at 1:00 PM.
