Sentencing hearing yesterday in Brockville Court for two men who pleaded guilty in connection to body dumping in Kemptville Creek

Yesterday, in Brockville Court, a sentencing hearing took place for two men who pleaded guilty in connection with the body dumping in Kemptville Creek late last year. Deepak Beaudoin-Reichmann’s body was found in the creek after he died from a drug overdose in October of 2015. Matthew Benoit and Kyle Clermont both plead guilty to causing indignity to a dead body. Benoit, Clermont and David Lojk, who’s already been sentenced to five years, dumped the body in the creek. Beaudoin-Reichmann’s family was on hand to deliver victim impact statements. The pair will be sentenced later this week when the sentencing hearing resumes.
