Masking now mandatory in all areas of Brockville General Hospital

Get ready to mask up next time you go to Brockville General Hospital (BGH).

Hospital staff members say they’re tightening masking restrictions further to limit the spread of respiratory illnesses like COVID-19 and influenza.

As of Wednesday, November 29th, masking is required in all parts of the hospital, for both visitors and patients.

Masking restrictions were eased at BGH last year, but it was made mandatory again in clinical areas in September, when the respiratory illness season began.

Other hospitals in our area, like Kemptville District Hospital and the Ottawa Hospital, also made masking mandatory in some areas in September.

You can view the full list of visitor guidelines on the BGH website.
