A major bridge in Chesterville is reopening after months of construction.
The United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry has announced that South Nation Bridge is set to reopen in the afternoon on Friday, November 17th.
The bridge closed to all traffic in late May while workers began rehabilitating it. It was initially expected to reopen in October, but delays extended construction by several weeks.
In a social media post, counties staff say they understand the project created “significant inconveniences” for people in and around Chesterville and are thanking residents for their patience.
