South Grenville property owners have a chance to learn about how they can build some affordable housing on their land in a few weeks.
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville is hosting an information session about the rules and regulations for building “secondary residential units.”
The United Counties runs a loan program that lets homeowners and landlords get funding to build an additional living area into their property for people to rent.
The information session will cover the rules and regulations for building a unit like that in Prescott, Augusta and Edwardsburgh-Cardinal, and how to qualify and apply for a loan from the counties.
It’s happening on November 28th at 5:30 PM, in the Ruth Evanson Room at Prescott Town Hall.
You can register to attend the meeting by calling the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville at 613-342-3840.
