Work on the Edward Street overpass continues, and it’s expected to slow down traffic in the area for the next few weeks.
The Town of Prescott has announced that as of November 7th, the lanes on the overpass are being reduced in width so workers can rehabilitate the overpass safely.
Staff members say that at times the overpass will need to be reduced to a single lane, with a temporary stop light set up at the south end.
This work is expected to last for four weeks. Staff say pedestrians will still be able to cross the overpass during that time.
