Kinsmen Club of Prescott preparing for 2023 Spirit of Giving campaign

Kinsmen Club of Prescott members are set to start collecting donations soon for the organization’s annual Christmas food drive.

Michael Baril, a member of the club, says they’re preparing for the launch of this year’s “Spirit of Giving” campaign, providing families in South Grenville with food for the holidays.

He says residents will be able to buy bags of groceries to donate to the initiative on November 4th at O’Reilly’s Independent Grocer, and more food will be collected over the following weeks.

“Registration will be on November 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and November 20th and 24th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, in the lobby of the Leo Boivin Community Centre in Prescott,” he adds.

Baril also says club members will be canvassing for donations at grocery stores every week starting November 18th, and that hygiene products are also needed.

“We need items like toothpaste and soap and stuff like that, that we normally don’t get too much donated,” he says.

If you want to volunteer to help with the Spirit of Giving campaign, Baril says you should contact the Kinsmen Club by calling 613-349-0776.
