No one was hurt but a home was partially destroyed by a fire on Hart Road in Augusta Township on Canada Day. Augusta firefighters were called out to the fire between 4pm and 5pm. They also asked for help from Edwardsburgh Cardinal through the mutual aid agreement. A tanker and crew from Spencerville responded to the request. It took over 3 hours to get the fire under control. The Augusta Fire Department posted on Facebook Saturday that they had rescued two kittens from the fire.
