Bring the family down to get a glimpse of a military vessel this weekend at the Port of Johnstown. The HMCS Goose Bay will be stopping for tours at the port both Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm. The ship, commissioned in 1998 and based out of CFB Halifax, is a Kingston-class coastal defence vessel. The public tours are organized by the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal and crew of the HMCS Goose Bay. If you plan to attend the tours, you’ll notice flags for parking setup by gate number 3 at the port.
