Cardinal residents are being warned that some construction in town could cause “excess noise” and lead to traffic delays over the weekend.
Workers will be connecting water and sewer mains beneath the train tracks next to the County Road 2 and Bridge Street intersection.
For most of the process, County Road 2 will be reduced to one lane in the area, but township staff say it’ll fully close at the start and end of the process so workers can remove and re-instate train tracks.
They say the construction is happening over the weekend to avoid impacting shipments to and from the Ingredion facility in town.
The work will start on Friday and continue straight through to Sunday morning.
