If you have any questions about home fire safety, Prescott’s Fire Chief says you’ll have an opportunity to ask firefighters in person in a few weeks.
Renny Raynor says the fire department is preparing to host an open house.
“We’ll have fire prevention information, we’ll have the trucks out, we’ll have lots of things for people to come and see,” Raynor explains. “So, we’d be more than happy to discuss anything regarding fire safety with our residents.”
The open house will also be a recruiting opportunity for prospective volunteer firefighters, and Raynor says they’re always looking for new people to join that team.
“We do have a new package that we can hand out and discuss what it’s like to be a firefighter and all the things that they would have to be a part of,” he says, “but it’s an excellent group, and we’d be more than happy to add to that.”
The open house is scheduled for October 14th.
