Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation is looking into expanding Highway 401 in South Grenville, and it wants to hear from residents.
The ministry is accepting feedback on a proposal for major improvements to the highway within Augusta, Prescott and Edwardsburgh-Cardinal, including widening it from four lanes to eight
More than a dozen bridges and overpasses would also need to be rebuilt to accommodate the extra traffic.
You can view the proposal and submit comments and concerns online. A print-out comment form you can send in the mail is also available.
You can view a detailed breakdown of the proposal, including proposed detour routes during construction, here.
Comments are being accepted until September 18th.
