GLAM running surveys for St. Lawrence River shoreline property owners

If you own any shoreline property that’s been affected by changing water levels, the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Adaptive Management Committee (GLAM) wants to hear from you.

The organization, which monitors the river and helps regulate things like flows and water levels, is running two surveys for people whose property has been affected between now and the start of 2022.

Staff members say 2017 and 2019 saw flooding caused by record-high water levels, and they want to get input from locals so they can be prepared for scenarios like that in the future.

They say they want to get a sense of how changing water levels have affected locals and if they need to make changes to how they manage outflows to the river from Lake Superior and Lake Ontario.

You can fill out the survey about 2022 water levels here, and the one about 2023 water levels here.
