Plan ahead before crossing the border this long weekend: CBSA

If you’re going across the border for the long weekend, staff members from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) say you should be prepared before you go.

The agency is offering some advice for travelers, urging you to take steps like checking wait times at border crossings before your trip, so you won’t be surprised by a long wait when you leave.

Staff members also say you should make sure you don’t bring any cannabis with you when you try to cross the border and look up your personal import duty exemption limits.

If you’re planning to take a plane, they say you can save time at some airports by making your customs and import declarations in advance.
