Five young local musicians will be joining the lineup for this year’s Upper Canada Folkfest.
A few weeks ahead of the annual folk music festival, the organizers have announced a new show called “Next Up” happening on the first night of the festival.
The concert will feature performances from young eastern Ontario artists like singer and guitarist Lyric Rogers and fiddle player Willow Marwood.
You won’t need tickets to the main festival to attend the show.

Instead, organizers say tickets will be sold at the door, with no set price, urging attendees to “pay what you can.”
It’s happening at the Kinsmen Amphitheatre in Prescott on August 25th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
