A new safety feature could be coming soon to a downtown Prescott intersection.
A report has been submitted to the Town of Prescott’s council proposing adding a yield sign to the Mary Street-Water Street intersection, for northbound traffic.
According to Matthew Armstrong, the town’s Chief Administrative Officer, the idea came from a resident’s request.
It’s meant to remind drivers to look for oncoming traffic before they drive towards King Street, making it safer for everyone driving in the area.

If it’s approved, the report says adding the yield sign won’t cost the town any money.
Council votes on the proposal at this week’s meeting.
