Ontario’s controlled deer hunt draw deadline coming July 31st

Hunters only have two more weeks to apply for the controlled deer tag draw.

The tags allow you to hunt during “controlled” deer seasons, which have different rules from open season hunting and don’t last as long.

The deadline for this year’s draw is July 31st, a few weeks earlier than last year.

The change was made based on feedback from hunters who wanted more time to plan before the beginning of the season.

You can enter the draw online, at some ServiceOntario locations, or by calling 1-800-288-1155.

You’ll be able to check if you received any tags starting September 1st.
