Town of Prescott announces Canada Day festivities

A fireworks show, a flag raising at Fort Wellington, and a public “Family Fun Zone” are all being organized by the Town of Prescott to celebrate Canada Day.
The flag raising happens first, at 11:30 a.m. Afterwards, the “Family Fun Zone” opens at 12 noon at the Leo Boivin Community Centre.
It’ll be open until 4 p.m and feature a free hotdog barbecue and games and activities set up by local organizations and businesses, like Little Ray’s Reptiles and Girls Incorporated of Upper Canada.
The firework show is scheduled to take place in the evening. Staff members also say donations of non-perishable food items for the South Grenville Food Bank will be accepted for the duration of the event.
You can view a more detailed schedule and a list of attractions at the “Family Fun Zone” on the town’s website and social media pages.
