If your child is looking for a summer job, they now have a chance to get some help searching and get paid for it.
The Employment + Education Centre, a Brockville-based non-profit employment agency, is hosting a “Youth Job Connection” program at South Grenville District High School (SGDHS) next week.
The initiative is a multi-day, 20-hour workshop that helps kids work on their resumes, practice job interviews, and apply for work with help from the agency.
At the end, they’ll be set up with a summer job placement.
It’s open to kids ages 15-18 who will be returning to SGDHS in the fall, and they’ll receive $15.50 per hour for taking part in the program.
You can email the school’s principal, Trisha Johnston, to sign your child up.
