Some new regulations for things like loud construction are coming to Prescott.
Under the new regulations, loud construction can’t occur between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM on weeknights, or between 11:00 PM and 9:00 AM on weekends and holidays.
The bylaw also prohibits making loud noises that could disturb residents, like revving your car’s engine or playing loud music without a permit. A few exemptions exist for things like auto repair shops.
If you violate the rules, you could face up to $600 in fines.
Council unanimously voted to pass the new noise bylaw at this week’s meeting.
