If you’ve ever wanted to try volunteer firefighting, you’ll have a chance to learn more about the job next month.
The Prescott Fire Department has announced a “Recruitment Info Night” for prospective volunteers on June 20.
The event will give attendees a chance to learn about the tools and equipment firefighters use, like the jaws of life and how the ladders and hoses work.
They’ll also get to learn about the kinds of training required to become a volunteer firefighter.
It’s happening at the Prescott Fire Department’s headquarters on Centre Street, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Anyone 18 or older can take part.
