Reminder: Fort Town Night Run returns this weekend

Prescott residents will be taking to the streets to run for charity this weekend.

The annual Fort Town Night Run returns to town Saturday, May 6th, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.

Participants will take part in a five-kilometre run throughout Prescott along a route that highlights local historic buildings and landmarks like Fort Wellington.

A one-kilometre “Fun Run” is also being held for kids ages five to 13 years old.

Registration costs $33.21 for the five-kilometre run, or $17.26 for the Fun Run.

All the money from ticket sales is going towards the Greater Fort Town Area Charity and its Youth Movement Project, which supports physical and mental health programs for youth in the region.

Both routes start outside the Leo Boivin Community Centre, but if you can’t attend in person, a virtual run option is also available.

You can see the route and buy tickets on the Fort Town Night Run website.
