Fort Town Night Run returns to Prescott this May

Runners of all ages are being invited to take part in Prescott’s annual charity run in a few weeks.

The Fort Town Night Run is set to return this year on May 6th.

This year’s event will see runners taking on a five-kilometre route through Prescott, passing various local landmarks and historic locations in town along the way.

The shorter “Fun Run” for kids ages five to 13 years old is also set to return, according to organizer Julie Larose.

“The Fort Town Night Run is organized by the Greater Fort Town Area Charity,” Larose says. “Funds raised support local youth programs, including the Youth Movement Project, Scouts Canada, Air Cadets, and many more.”

Larose says her team also needs help making sure the event runs smoothly.

“We are also seeking volunteers to assist on May 6,” she explains. “Students can earn volunteer hours for school, and adults can support local youth charities.”

You can find details for how to sign up as a participant or a volunteer on the Fort Town Night Run website.
