Lifesaving Society First Aid and CPR C course comes to Cardinal this May

The Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal is inviting people to learn the basics of first aid from experts in a few weeks.

Township staff members say registration is open for a two-day “Standard First Aid and CPR C” training program.

The course is being run by the Lifesaving Society, Canada’s national governing body for lifeguards.

Participants will learn the basics of performing CPR on adults, kids and infants, as well as some common complications that can make it more difficult, like having to perform it on a pregnant or obese person.

There are no prerequisites, but registration for the program costs $100.

It’s running on May 6th and 7th at the South Edwardsburgh Community Centre in Johnstown.

You can find a link to sign up on the Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal website.
