Lyndhurst business owner wins Leeds Grenville Lifetime Achievement Award

The Leeds Grenville Small Business Centre is congratulating Wendy Banks on the work she’s done in the community.

Banks received the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award at its International Women’s Day event this week.

She was recognized for her ownership of Wendy’s Country Market, selling locally grown food from more than 70 producers in the region, and Furnace Falls Farm, a working farm and bed-and-breakfast.

Leeds Grenville Warden Nancy Peckford and Small Business Development Officer Jeanette Johnson are congratulating Banks on winning.

“We are honoured to pay tribute to Wendy’s amazing entrepreneurial skills and the caring heart she has shown in her community for over 40 years,” Johnson says.

This is the 10th time the award has been presented. Last year’s winner was Oxford Mills-based restaurant owner Cheryl Mackie.
