Prescott residents looking to do some outdoor skating now have an option right in town.
Staff members have announced that the outdoor rink in Sarah Spencer Park is open for people to skate on.
The rink is open from 9:00 in the morning until 10:00 PM, depending on the weather.
Being on the rink outside of its operating hours is “strictly prohibited,” according to the town website, and kids ages 12 and younger will need to be supervised by their parents while on the ice.
You’re also not allowed to bring pets, strollers or baby carriers, food and drinks, and other foreign objects onto the rink, unless it’s an accessibility device.
The town’s other outdoor rink, at the Sandra S. Lawn Harbour and Marina, remains closed. You can find all the rules around using the rink on the town website.
