2023 Community Volunteer Income Tax Program launches Feb. 21

Some Leeds-Grenville residents will be able to get help filing their income taxes this year from the Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence-Rideau.

The organization’s annual Community Volunteer Income Tax Program launches for 2023 on Feb. 21st.

People using the program will be able to take their tax forms to locations in their home municipality, where a volunteer will help them file their taxes for free.

The service is only available to Kemptville, Prescott, Brockville, Gananoque and Elgin residents.

It’s open to people making $35,000 or less per year, or couples making $45,000 or less annually.

Other than its office in Brockville, the locations where residents will be able to bring their forms haven’t been announced yet.

Volunteer Centre staff members say updates and more information will be posted to the organizations’ Facebook page over the coming days.
