Children’s Services of Leeds and Grenville hosting “Family Literacy Day” celebrations for parents and kids

Leeds-Grenville residents with young kids are being invited to celebrate reading together this week.

Children’s Services of Leeds and Grenville is hosting a number of celebrations at its various EarlyON learning centres and other locations, to commemorate Family Literacy Day.

The annual event is meant to raise awareness for how important reading and writing together as a family is, especially for kids who are still learning how to read.

The celebrations are open to parents and caregivers of kids up to six years old. Activities like puppet shows will be there to entertain the younger children.

Family Literacy Day is Thursday, January 27th, but these events are scheduled throughout the week in various municipalities. You can find the event happening closest to you on the Children’s Services of Leeds and Grenville Facebook page.
