Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health name new CEO

The new Chief Executive Officer for Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health (LLGAMH) says he finds the services the organization offers inspiring.

The organization has announced that Domenic Ielo will be taking over as CEO for the charity next week.

Ielo, a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience and a background in mental health, will take the role from current Acting Co-CEOs Andrew Brown and Kim Gifford.

Ielo most recently worked at The Royal Mental Health Centre in Ottawa, as the Director of Patient Care Service for its Integrated Schizophrenia and Recovery program.

“My experience building strong teams and partnerships while ensuring we remain client- and-family-centered, will help us set a new course for the future,” Ielo says. “This is possible because we are building on a strong foundation where the staff and the board of directors bring dedication and passion to their work every day.”

Ielo says the last few years have been difficult, but he’s confident that LLAGMH will be an industry leader in the years to come.

“I would like to thank the board of directors for their confidence in my leadership and vision,” he adds. “I am incredibly grateful to join the team at LLGAMH.”

Ielo officially takes over as CEO on Monday, January 16th. LLGAMH staff members say more information about changes coming with his leadership will be announced over the coming weeks and months.
