Town of Prescott approves proposal to keep Museum and Visitor Centre open

The Prescott Museum and Visitor Centre’s fall hours are continuing into the winter and early spring.

At this week’s town council meeting, the proposal to keep the museum open through the winter was approved.

Originally scheduled to close for the year on Saturday, December 17th, the museum will now be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from now until April 29th.

The cost to keep the facility open comes out to $5,500, which is being pulled from money already set aside in the town’s budget for its Community Services department.

If you want to visit, you can find it on King Street in the downtown area. The Town’s website has details on the exhibits you can find there.
