House of Lazarus accepting donations for Heat for the Holidays

The House of Lazarus is calling for donations to help keep houses warm this winter.

The charity organization, in partnership with the Community Food Share food bank and Winchester BMR, is collecting donations for its annual “Heat for the Holidays” campaign.

The program provides households in need with compressed firewood logs to heat their homes.

A parallel initiative called “Project Warmth” also provides plastic window insulation to help retain heat inside.

Donations for Heat for the Holidays are being accepted in-person at the House of Lazarus’ Ingleside and Mountain offices.

You can also mail a cheque to the organization’s Mountain office, or donate online on its website.
