You’re running out of time to contribute to a competition between three municipalities that benefits local charities.
The “Holiday Food Drive Challenge” initiative organized by the Town of Prescott, Township of Augusta, and Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal ends this Thursday, December 15th.
The campaign has all three municipalities collecting donations of non-perishable food items. The community that brings in the most donations will be named the winner.
The donations are being split between the South Grenville Food Bank, which supports people across the region year-round, and the Kinsmen Club of Prescott’s “Spirit of Giving” campaign that provides Christmas dinner and toys for kids to households in the area.
In Prescott, items are being collected in the main office at Town Hall during normal business hours, until 4:30 PM Thursday. Cash and fresh food donations aren’t being accepted as part of the competition.
