Town of Prescott considering keeping Museum and Visitor Centre open for winter

Tourists visiting Prescott this winter might be able to visit the town’s museum.

According to a staff report submitted to council, the town is considering keeping the museum open at its current reduced hours from now until late April.

The museum, which first opened to the public in May, has been open from Thursday to Saturday every week since early September.

It’s currently set to close for the year next Saturday, December 17th.

According to the report, funding to keep the museum open for the next few months would come from money already set aside for the town’s Community Services department.

Town council will vote on whether to keep the facility open for the winter at their next meeting on Monday, December 12th.
