Reminder: Leeds-Grenville “Agriculture Area Review” scheduled for next week

A public information session to update Leeds-Grenville residents on some changes to the United Counties’ Official Plan is only a few days away.

Staff members are reminding residents that the “Agriculture Area Review” seminar, announced in late November, is happening on Monday, December 12th.

The presentation is part of an ongoing “Land Evaluation and Area Review” study being conducted by the United Counties, to assess whether its agricultural land boundaries need to be updated or changed.

The data from that study is going into the next update of its Official Plan, a public outline of the government’s ideas for things like future housing developments.

The seminar will give anyone who attends a chance to learn more about the study, and what changes are currently being considered.

If you want to attend, you’ll be able to see it in person in Brockville, or virtually using Microsoft Teams on Monday.

You can sign up to attend and find more information on the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville website.
