Prescott residents have a chance to help their community earn bragging rights while supporting households in need over the holidays.
The town, alongside Augusta and Edwardsburgh-Cardinal Townships, has announced a “Holiday Food Drive Challenge.”
All three municipalities will be competing to see which can collect the most non-perishable food donations during the first half of December.
The donations will be split between the Kinsmen Club of Prescott’s Spirit of Giving campaign, supporting households that struggle during the holidays, and the South Grenville Food Bank.
If you want to contribute, you can take your items to Town Hall and leave them in the main office any time between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
Fresh foods and cash donations aren’t being accepted as part of the competition. The deadline to contribute is December 15th.
