Police make arrests in domestic incidents in South Dundas

Police were busy in South Dundas over the weekend with a couple of domestic situations. On Friday around 9:00am officers were called to a home in the village of Williamsburg. Investigation showed a 37-year-old man had been arguing with his ex-girlfriend. Police found marijuana on the scene and discovered the man was breaking conditions set by his probation. He will be appearing in court in August.

Friday evening around 8:00pm police responded to a residence on County Road 4 in the township. Officers learned a 22-year-old man assaulted his girlfriend and wouldn’t allow her to leave. He was arrested and charged with spousal assault and forcible confinement and given a court date at the end of this month.
